Jodie Maher | Board Member

Jodie Maher is a Senior Account Executive in Avalon’s Central Region. She joined Avalon’s headquarters location in Chicago when their doors first opened in 1998. She began her insurance career working in Avalon’s National Accounts department as an Administrative Assistant and then worked her way up to an Account Manager. Jodie’s natural ability to develop rapport with clients later prompted her to transition into a sales role as an Account Executive with our Central Region and in May of 2023 she was promoted to a Senior Account Executive.

Jodie enjoys all aspects of the sales process, especially building strong relationships with her clients. She is well-regarded for her thorough and organized approach when working with clients. Jodie has a true passion for continually educating herself and being able to pass that knowledge along to her clients so that they can make well-informed decisions regarding their insurance needs. Jodie has extensive experience working with both domestic and international transportation companies and is well-versed in Professional Liability, Shipper’s Interest Cargo Insurance, Contingent Cargo and Freight Broker Liability. She is actively involved in various associations including Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), Chicago Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association (CCBFA), Detroit Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association (DCBFA), International Association of Chicago Air Cargo (IACAC), and Traffic Club of Chicago (TCC).

Jodie is a diehard Chicago Cubs fan and enjoys cooking and spending time with her three grown children and her extended family. She stays active by running, lifting weights, and exploring new places through travel.
